Verified Reviewer |Poor Messaging Process
- - The facilitator layer between patient and doctor slows messaging.
- - Direct messaging with doctors is preferred to avoid delays and 2+ day responses.
The messaging process on MyCare is terrible. Why is there a facilitator layer between the doctor and the patient, when all that facilitator does is simply pass the message on to the doctor and vice versa?
It's like communicating via smoke signals- this is outdated, unnecessary, and slows things down for everyone. Why not be able to message doctors directly? Even if they get a ton of messages, what is the difference between that and getting them via the staff? It makes zero sense and is so frustrating.
Nobody should have to wait 2+ days for a medical response. Sorry, but this is one area AI will take over and deservedly so.
User's recommendation: HealthPartners always pushes you to use their online patient info system, which is fine for some things, but don't use the messaging service there. Call directly and leave a message that way- it seems to be faster.

Verified Reviewer |Dr. Jane C. Dever cancelled an essential consultation without providing any notice at all
- - Dr Dever canceled the 2:40 pm appointment.
- - The appointment disappeared from the screen; no contact was made and the call was long.
Don't obtain any psychiatric or psychological treatment with the Park Nicollet/Health Partners Department of Psychiatry and Psychology, specifically with Psychiatrists Dr. Kathryn Kim Selmo and Dr.
Jane C. Dever.
Dever of Park Nicollet/Health Partners in Saint Louis Park, MN 55416. Dr. Dever cancelled this vitally important psychiatric consultation without providing any notice at all. The Mental Health Scheduling Office of Park Nicollet Health Partners completely failed to contact me either.
The appointment was taken off the screen that contains my appointments sometime earlier that same day again without providing any notice of this cancellation. Then I called Dr. Dever's office and was put on hold for at least twenty minutes before anyone answered. Dr.
Dever's conduct here was completely nonsensical, ridiculous, outrageous, completely unreasonable, and totally unprofessional at minimum. Dr. Dever's actions here absolutely violated any semblance of medical professional responsibility and ethics, and probably constituted medical malpractice and misconduct as well. I retired this spring and was widely recognized to be an outstanding civil litigation trial and appellate lawyer in the Twin Cities area.
If I had done even a small portion to my legal clients that Dr. Dever did to me, I would reasonably have expected them to file complaints against me with the Minnesota Lawyer's Board of Professional Responsibility and the Minnesota Supreme Court and received serious sanctions and professional discipline up to and including possible suspensions from practicing law and even disbarment. Dr. Dever's misconduct here was totally wrong.
Park Nicollet/Health Partners and/or the Minnesota State Medical Board should sanction her for her medical malpractice and complete misconduct committed against me!!! Douglas (Doug) James Schiltz Date of Birth: 04/16/1965
- Are completely awful
Preferred solution: Apology
User's recommendation: Without any doubt, psychiatric patients should completely avoid seeking treatment with Park Nicollet/Health Partners Department of Psychiatry altogether
Dr Kelsey Carignan healthpartners psychiatrist
- - She charts every word you say with long notes.
- - Diagnosed as aquarium hoarder with no clear basis.
- - Notes may not be dated, appearing current.
You should know this about Dr. Carignan.
When I first met Dr.
Carignan I was impressed.
I thought that she was very caring & understanding. I wanted to confide in her. HOWEVER my views on her have changed quite a bit now after seeing how she charts. YOU SHOULD KNOW that she charts EVERY SINGLE WORD YOU SAY, if you dont believe me, go into healthpartners mychart and look at the meeting notes (you can find these under past appointments) and you will see what shes written about you after each meeting.
I have had 10 minute appts with her that resulted in 20 plus pages of charting. She will DIG into your chart as far back as she can and bring forth everything youve done. On too of that, she does not date it and it makes it look like it is current. she will make you look crazy.
I also believe that shes very quick to give diagnoses with no support or bases. I told her that I had some aquariums and that recovering from 2 shoulder
replacements left me struggling to care for them.
Based on that she diagnosed me as an aquarium hoarder. There is something seriously wrong with that.

Appointments now required for labwork have no "priority."
- - Park Nicollet clinics require lab appointments.
- - Waited 1.5+ hours; others had priority.
- - A tech found someone else before taking me.
Park Nicollet clinics now require appointments for lab work - which is fine. I make appointments.
Yesterday my appointment was utterly useless because EVERYONE else had "priority." I had to wait over 1.5 hours when even "walk-ins" were getting "20 minute" waits. Multiple categories have "priority" over appointments along with seemingly kids, disabled, people in a hurry, etc. I checked to make sure I was on list, then I checked to make sure they had my name correct, then finally I asked a tech who was actually looking for someone else when my time slot would get in and she took me right away.
So, Park Nic lab "appointments" are useless and only send customers to the back of the line. Really bad customer service.
User's recommendation: If you can, don't use Health Partners or Park Nicollet. They've lost all notion of patient care and customer service.
I like some of the Doctors!
- - I had surgery last summer; healing slowly.
- - Paid all bills; Health Partners says no balance due.
- - Bills keep arriving.
I had surgery last summer healing slowly! But the biggest issue is that I paid all of bills from it but I keep getting strage statements saying I owe more!
In beginning I just paid but now I know I shouldn't pay anymore even my health insurance said there was no balance due as does my online health partners account! Yet the bills keep coming? Will Never Deal With Health Partners again!
As I've tried talking and they don't even get back to me. They need to fix there billing department!
Receptionist at the office has no consideration for customers or patients
- - Insurance denied CAT scan; a peer-to-peer with the doctor is required.
- - I've been calling as the doctor to arrange the peer-to-peer; imaging centers were changed.
Again, waiting for authorization from the insurance company to do a CAT scan. The insurance denied. They have to do a peer to peer with the doctor, so I have been calling acting as the doctor done a peer to peer according to the insurance company they have not then we changed imaging centers we were doing the CAT scan so I called him to let them know and the receptionist just says you dont have to call every day and not a nice way.
Healthpartners is corrupt
- - I am disabled and was denied for three positions; I will file discrimination reports.
- - HealthPartners charged me $150 and sent me to two clinics.
I would not ever work at healthpartners. I'm disabled and have all the education and skills to work for 3 different positions I applied for and was denied.
I'm the perfect person for the positions. I am also going to file a discrimination, civil and DHS reports. Healthpartners has broken several laws. Ohh and I'm leaving reviews on several other packages.
I guess whistle blowers laws does not apply to to Healths partners.
Don't don't apply ohh and they tried to charge me 150.00 because the manager of the IGH clinic would not bill my insurance and told me I had to go to their 2 dirtiest clinic at Healthpartners when my primary does not work at either even though I have a weak immune system. Worst company ever only cares about profit never its employees and especially not patients, *** tit.dont do any kind of business with healthpartners.

Verified ReviewerInsurance denial of all prescriptions
- - HealthPartners denies or halves my neurologist migraine prescriptions.
- - Nurtec coverage is 8 pills/month instead of 16; half doses do not help.
Yes, issue was appealed with HP and denied again.
HealthPartners either denies or cuts in half the prescriptions my neurologist writes. This is NOT helping my migraines.
Provide the FULL prescription my neurologist recommends. Half a prescription of preventative migraine medication (Nurtec) DOES not work. I should get 16 pills of Nurtec per month but HealthPartners will only cover 8 pills. Neurologist says go to the ER to prove to HealthPartners the preventative drugs HealthParters will allow me is NOT enough.
Sad and expensive I have to do that. I just want to get out of bed and feel healthy and HealthPartners insurance is hindering that.
- Prescriptions your doctor recommends are usually not covered
Preferred solution: FULL prescriptions from my provider.
User's recommendation: Do not purchase HealPartners insurance!

Verified ReviewerInaccurate Coding Led to Unfair Billing
- - Billing was incorrect, charging preventive and non-preventive services.
- - Attempts to fix coding failed; provider would not revisit.
I recently visited Paul J. McManus at Park Nicollet Clinic Plymouth for a routine preventive care appointment. However, I was surprised to receive a bill that included charges for both preventive and non-preventive services. Upon further investigation, I discovered that the doctor's office had incorrectly coded the services, resulting in incorrect billing.
I am disappointed in the lack of attention to detail and the resulting financial burden placed on me. As a patient, I trust my healthcare provider to accurately document and bill for services rendered. In this case, that trust was broken.
I attempted to contact the health provider multiple times to address the billing issue, but unfortunately, my efforts were met with a lack of assistance and understanding. Despite my persistence, they refused to revisit the incorrect coding and stood firmly by their initial decision, leaving me with no resolution or recourse. It was a frustrating and disappointing experience.
I would caution others to carefully follow the reviews or their experience and expertise. Please be careful.

Verified ReviewerScheduling at Frauenshuh Cancer Center
- - Nurse canceled last minute and forced a date I couldn't attend.
- - I lost money and a ride; the nurse showed little concern.
Nurse called the night before the procedure to cancel. Forced another date and time that I couldn't attend due to work.
Had this appointment scheduled for a month.
I lost money from not being able to work that day and had a ride lined up that I lost. The nurse couldn't care less about my time, concern, and care.

Verified Reviewer |Dishonesty, loss of trust
- - Park Nicollett was convenient with responsive, compassionate service for years.
- - Health Partners upcharges and collections; Park Nicollett staff left.
I've used Park Nicollett for years because it's convenient. They had responsive, compassionate service.
Health Partners are garbage! I know more than a half dozen MDs and other Park Nic service *friends* who've left because of this change. When a doctor lies to you about upcharging, how can you trust their medical opinions?! If the doctors are not lying, the HP copany is lying.
They'll send a bill to collections before making any responsible investigations. How "uniquely American" to have established, corrupt companies! I'm healthy! Imagine having a Don't life-threatening condition and having to fight with "Matt".
I have to find another clinic! Shame on Health Partners, but they have no shame!

- - Virtuwell should be taken down.
- - They can't prescribe or treat, not even a cold.
- - They require a doctor visit even after four fingernail photos.
Their online virtuwell website should be taken down. They cant prescribe anything for anything not even something like the common cold.
All they do is refer you to go see a doctor. Worthless. Thats the whole point of having a website so you dont have to go in for minor stuff. I literally sent them four pictures of an infected fingernail from a hangnail and that was too much for them.
They said I had to go in to see a doctor. Just get rid of the damn website if you cant do anything with it.
User's recommendation: Go somewhere else besides HP and virtually
Sloppy customer service
- - Eye exam at Park Nicollet clinic by Hwy 100.
- - AirPods blocked hearing questions.
- - Will return to old Excelsior shop.
GI was seen at the Park Nicollet eye doctor Clinic off highway 100 and Excelsior on Saturday, Feb. 10, 2024.
I had an eye examination with a nice doctor and then went to purchase glasses at the store portion. The young lady helping me was kind enough but I did not feel attended to because she had AirPods in her ears the entire time. I even asked her a question and she did not hear me because of her music or audio book that she was listening to.
I did notice one other worker who had the same thing going on. The two girls at the front desk were the only ones not listening to devices but were on the internet.
I did not purchase my eyeglasses there and will return to my old shop in Excelsior because if they cant give you full attention it probably means your eyeglasses will be messed up.
User's recommendation: don’t go here
Poor customer servise.
- - Spent 1.5 hours on the phone for lab results; not received.
- - System is antiquated; cross-system care exists elsewhere, not with Health Partners.
I have been transferred and spent over 1.5 hours on the phone trying to get lab results with my daughter. (and still have not received them).
Their system is antiquated and need to be updated to 2023. My daughter has her own mychart in other systems and we can easily have care across other systems, except not with Health Partners. She only has her primary doctor there now, and we may need to move on from her too unfortunately. Health Partners do better, your patient system is terrible.
It should be easy to access information for the best patient care. My daughter sees other providers in Fairview, TCO etc.
and their systems make it easy to communicate and let other doctors get information so she can have the best care team. VERY DISAPPOINTED.
Preferred solution: better customer service, we are at the end of wanting to use their system.
User's recommendation: Do not use Health Partners, use a different system if you need different specialists.
